Detailed 9-Day Itinerary: The Ultimate Peruvian Experience
Day 01: Arrival in Lima (The Culinary Capital)
Your elite journey begins the moment you clear customs at the Jorge Chávez International Airport. Our professional logistics team will be waiting with a personalized sign to escort you through the city to your premium hotel in Miraflores, Lima’s safest and most vibrant district. Spend your first evening enjoying a world-class meal overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Day 02: Unveiling Colonial Lima & The Magic Water Circuit
After a relaxed breakfast, we head to Lima’s UNESCO-protected Historic Center. We will stand in the Plaza Mayor, explore the Cathedral, and descend into the fascinating subterranean catacombs of the San Francisco Monastery. We will also see the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid in the middle of the modern city. In the evening, we offer an optional visit to the Magic Water Circuit, a Guinness World Record-holding park where 13 interactive fountains combine light, music, and water into a spectacular show—a perfect farewell to the coastal capital.
Day 03: Paracas Marine Life & Huacachina Sandboarding
We depart at 4:30 AM in private transport heading south along the Pacific coast. In Paracas, we board a speedboat to the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and the mysterious Candelabro geoglyph. After lunch, we reach the Huacachina Oasis, the only one of its kind in South America. Here, you will experience the adrenaline of 4×4 sand buggies and sandboarding on dunes that reach hundreds of feet high. We return to Lima late in the evening.
Day 04: From the Coast to the Clouds (Lima to Cusco)
Today, the landscape changes drastically. A short 1.5-hour flight takes you from the coast to Cusco. Our local team will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to your boutique hotel. Because you are jumping to 11,152 ft (3,400 m), today is strictly for rest. Sip traditional Coca tea, stay hydrated, and let your body adapt to the “thin air” before our explorations begin.
Day 05: The Megaliths of the Inca Capital
Now acclimatized, we explore the golden heart of the empire. We start at the Qoricancha (Sun Temple) and then move to the outskirts to witness the massive, 100-ton stones of Sacsayhuaman, fitted together with impossible precision. We will also visit the ancient shrines of Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and the water temple of Tambomachay. Enjoy a free afternoon for culinary exploration.
Day 06: The Sacred Valley & Train to the Cloud Forest
We descend into the Sacred Valley, visiting the dramatic agricultural terraces of Pisac and its famous artisan market. After a premium buffet lunch in Urubamba (included), we explore the living Inca town of Ollantaytambo. In the late afternoon, you will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, watching the dry Andean mountains transform into a lush, green cloud forest.
Day 07: The Magic of Machu Picchu
The morning you’ve dreamed of. We take an early Consettur bus to the sanctuary gates. With our guaranteed Circuit 2 permits, you will enjoy the classic panoramic view of the ruins. Your private guide will reveal the secrets of the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Royal Quarters during a 3-hour deep dive. Afternoon train return to the Sacred Valley and private transfer back to Cusco.
Day 08: Choose Your Signature Adventure
With your body fully adapted to the altitude, Day 8 is yours to command. When booking, select one of the following signature experiences:
- Option A: Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). A high-altitude trek (16,500 ft) to see the world-famous multicolored ridges and the Ausangate glacier.
- Option B: Humantay Lake. A spectacular hike to a turquoise glacial lake at the base of the sacred Salkantay mountain.
- Option C: Maras & Moray (Half-Day). A relaxed visit to the circular Inca agricultural terraces and the 3,000 salt pools of Maras.
Day 09: Farewell to the Andes
Enjoy a final breakfast in the Imperial City. At the coordinated time, our private transport will pick you up from your hotel for a punctual transfer to the Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima and your connection home.

Essential Expert Intelligence (The 9-Day Strategy)
Managing the Desert & The Altitude: You will encounter the intense desert sun in Huacachina (Day 3) and freezing mornings in Cusco (Day 5-8). Layering is the only strategy that works. Pack high-SPF sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and a heavy winter jacket for the Andes.
Train Luggage Restrictions: PeruRail and IncaRail enforce a strict baggage policy. You can only take a small backpack (max 5kg / 11 lbs) on the train to Aguas Calientes. Your main international suitcases will be stored securely and for free at your hotel in Cusco.
Booking Strategy: To secure the panoramic Circuit 2 for Machu Picchu, this 9-day package must be booked at least 3 to 4 months in advance, especially for travel between May and September. Last-minute bookings may result in lower-tier circuits without the classic viewpoint.
