Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Transfer In
Welcome to the ancient capital of the Inca Empire! Upon your arrival at the Cusco Airport, our team will greet you and provide a private transfer to your hotel. This day is for acclimatization, rest, hydrate, and enjoy your first taste of Cusco’s charm with a walk around the historic center or a relaxing coca tea at your hotel.
Day 2: Sacsayhuamán – Taray Viewpoint – Pisac Ruins & Village – Overnight in the Sacred Valley
After breakfast, your adventure begins with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, the stunning Inca fortress overlooking Cusco. Marvel at its enormous stones precisely fitted together without mortar. Continue to the Taray Viewpoint, where you’ll get panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.
Next, explore the Pisac Archaeological Site, famous for its agricultural terraces and ceremonial sites. Then visit Pisac village, where you can wander its vibrant artisan market, perfect for authentic souvenirs. In the afternoon, head down into the Sacred Valley and check into your hotel in Urubamba, surrounded by peaceful Andean landscapes.
Day 3: Sacred Valley Full-Day from Urubamba – Chinchero, Moray, Maras, Ollantaytambo
Start your day with a visit to Chinchero, known for its colonial church and indigenous weaving cooperatives. Enjoy a live demonstration of traditional Andean textile techniques.
Continue to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site made up of circular agricultural terraces believed to be an Incan laboratory. Then visit the Maras Salt Mines, a dazzling patchwork of thousands of salt ponds that have been used since pre-Inca times.
End the day at Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with a remarkable fortress. Learn about the final resistance of the Incas against the Spanish and enjoy time to explore the cobbled streets before returning to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu Tour – Return to Cusco
Early morning, transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo and board a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, take the bus up to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu. Accompanied by your guide, explore the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, Royal Residences, and agricultural terraces.
Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available (advance booking required).
After the tour, descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then take the train and private transport back to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 5: Farewell – Transfer to Cusco Airport
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before your private transfer to the airport. Take with you lasting memories of the Andes, the warmth of the local people, and the spiritual magic of Machu Picchu.
