Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Transfer In

Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, our team will greet you with a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel in the historical city center. Take this day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude — Cusco sits at 3,400 meters above sea level. Enjoy a traditional coca tea, and if you’re up for it, take a gentle stroll around Plaza de Armas or the San Blas district to begin your introduction to the city’s colonial charm and vibrant artisan culture.

Day 2: Cusco City Tour – Exploring the Inca Capital

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before meeting your guide for a half-day cultural exploration. Discover Q’oricancha, the ancient Inca Temple of the Sun, once sheathed in gold, and marvel at the architectural contrast between Inca stonework and Spanish colonial structures. Visit Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece filled with Andean religious syncretism.

Next, ascend to the impressive hilltop complex of Sacsayhuamán, known for its massive megalithic walls. Continue to the ceremonial site of Q’enqo, the guard post Puka Pukara, and the sacred fountains of Tambomachay. Return to your hotel with a deeper appreciation for the fusion of civilizations that defines Cusco.

Day 3: Sacred Valley Full-Day Tour + Train to Aguas Calientes

Embark on a full-day adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, beginning with a scenic drive to Pisac, famous for its colorful market and impressive mountaintop ruins. Engage with local artisans and browse traditional crafts before continuing through the valley.

Enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, surrounded by towering mountains and lush greenery. Then visit Ollantaytambo, an Inca military, religious, and agricultural center that resisted Spanish conquest. Explore its commanding fortress and unique water temple before boarding your train to Aguas Calientes, nestled beneath Machu Picchu. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 4: Visit to Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

Rise early and take the bus up to the iconic Machu Picchu, a symbol of Peru and one of the most extraordinary architectural and engineering marvels in the world. With your guide, walk through the Temple of the Sun, the Main Square, the Sacred Rock, and more.

Learn the theories behind the citadel’s purpose — whether it was a royal retreat, religious sanctuary, or astronomical observatory. Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available for those seeking stunning panoramic views (must be booked in advance).

After the tour, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then board the train and vehicle back to Cusco.

Day 5: Chinchero Textile Center, Moray & Maras Salt Mines

Discover the living Andean culture today with a visit to Chinchero, a charming village known for its vibrant traditional weaving. Watch a hands-on demonstration from local women and understand the symbolism in their patterns and natural dyeing techniques.

Continue to Moray, a mysterious series of concentric agricultural terraces believed to be an Inca experimental station. Nearby, marvel at the Salt Mines of Maras, a breathtaking patchwork of over 3,000 salt evaporation ponds still used by local families. This day beautifully combines natural beauty, Inca ingenuity, and present-day tradition. Return to Cusco in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Transfer to Airport – End of Adventure
